She holds a BA in English Language and Literature from The University of Chicago, and has shared her passion for creative writing throughout her work/life experiences as a substitute teacher, a full-time nanny, and an afterschool coach for Young Chicago Authors’ annual slam poetry competition-fest, Louder Than A Bomb.
Currently, in addition to earning her MFA, Candice serves on the Children’s Book Committee at Bank Street College’s Center for Children’s Literature.
He studied visual arts at SUNY Purchase but has always had his muse in writing.
Originally from the Bronx, his life took interesting turns – from an aircraft maintainer in the military to an IT worker in a New York city school.

Cynthia Amoah, a T&W editorial associate, is a spoken word artist, performer, and writer originally from Ghana, West Africa.When not found writing or performing, Cynthia enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and wandering museums.Evan Dent is a writer and editor living in Brooklyn and a T&W editorial associate.Evan is in his second year in the New School’s MFA program, pursuing a degree in creative nonfiction writing with a focus on literary criticism.His work has appeared in Jonathan Hernandez is a fiction writer and grad school student at the New School.Ethan was born and raised in Los Angeles and loves to write about the city he grew up in because it is “way more chill” than New York. Auriane Desombre is a YA writer currently pursuing an MA in English Literature from NYU and an MFA in Creative Writing for Children & Young Adults from The New School.She holds a BA in English Literature from NYU, and has shared her passion for books through her experience working as an 8th-grade Writing teacher.Zac Ginsburg is a fiction writer from Chicago whose experience as an educator includes teaching creative writing at Story Studio Chicago, substitute teaching, tutoring, coaching soccer, and volunteering through organizations such as 826NYC.Kyle Dillon Hertz is an MFA candidate, fellow at New York University, and T&W education associate.He holds a BA from The New School, where he was an Academic Fellow in the writing program. A Fulbright scholar, she has received fellowships from the Callaloo Creative Writing Workshop, VONA, The Conversation, and Cave Canem.
