We do not award multiple academic scholarships to students. Most funding is awarded to students who have demonstrated institutional need as determined by Bucknell’s Office of Financial Aid, but a limited amount will also be awarded to those who do not have financial need or do not apply for aid.The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s scholarship programs are designed to encourage and support outstanding students who work hard and have financial need.
Key elements of our work include strategic recruitment in targeted countries, transparent, open, and merit-based competitions, negotiated access to graduate programs, intensive pre-academic preparation, supportive supervision throughout the scholarship term, and a variety of initiatives designed to cultivate an international network of social change leaders.
The Scholarship Programs support over 300 individuals annually in degree and nondegree study within the social sciences and humanities.
For most scholarships, recipients will receive notifications along with their admissions decisions.
Arts Merit Scholarships $2,500 to $20,000 annually to selected first-year students who plan to pursue studies in art & art history, creative writing, dance, film/media studies, literary studies, music (major or non-major) or theatre (performance or design and technology).
The Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) administers the Mayor's Graduate Scholarship Program (MGSP), an opportunity for full-time New York City local government employees (employed by a City agency) with undergraduate degrees to study at accredited colleges/universities in the metropolitan area.
Schools fund full or partial graduate scholarships through the Program.
Due to the need to fund other programs that will be able to assist greater numbers of struggling older people, AARP Foundation has discontinued funding individual scholarships through the Women’s Scholarship Program in 2013.
AARP Foundation earns a high rating for accountability from a leading charity evaluator.
We are currently changing our merit scholarship process to allow students to apply for the scholarships for which they would like to be considered.
Please check back in September to access the scholarship applications.
